It is made from fabulous flame mahogany, with a rectangular top with an inset-shaped olive green and tan gold-toiled leather writing surface. The upper console is arranged with two drawers on each side, featuring an elegant ogee-molded edge with a striking brass three-quarter gallery on each.

There are three drawers in the frieze as well as three graduated drawers in each pedestal. It has its original brass swan neck handles and brass locks.
