This is a handsome antique ormolu-mounted king wood and Gonçalo Alves marquetry vitrine in the Louis XV transitional style, circa 1860.

Description:
The vitrine features decorative floral marquetry panels throughout and is surmounted by a Rouge de Rance marble top. The vitrine has glazed doors rising from a rectangular plinth with everted corners, and the shaped glazed door has bead and reel decoration. The top edge has lobed decoration, and the fire gilt bronzes show a gadroon casting to the lower section with maiden corbels.
The quality and attention to detail throughout are second to none.
Complete with a working lock and original key.
In really excellent condition, having been beautifully cleaned, polished, and waxed in our workshop.
