A magnificent Italian display cabinet in the Boulle style, made in the 1970s entirely in wood with an ebonised ground and elaborate brass inlay. The piece combines black and red bolivar wood with intricate scrolling boulle marquetry, a central mask cartouche to the arched pediment, and bronze decorations and mounts throughout. The upper section has glazed display doors and curved glass side panels enclosing shelving, all lined in purple-red fabric, while the lower section features two central doors with a compartment inside and two curved side doors. A commanding and richly decorative cabinet that makes a true statement in a formal interior.
