A particularly unusual and elegant English drinks cabinet from the 1920s. Its drinks compartment spins over to reveal, on one side, a breathtaking fitted interior with a full set of six Baccarat glasses and two Saint Louis crystal decanters, and a storage compartment on the other (all glasses stamped Baccarat, decanters stamped Saint Louis). A bevelled mirror back sits behind the crystal to add depth and elegance, and every glass and decanter is held securely in its own fitted space. Reminiscent of a Prohibition-era bar, it hides its drinks compartment in the blink of an eye. The top is surrounded by a fine brass gallery, and the cabinet is raised on four tapered legs joined by a circular undertier with a turned gallery. A top-quality dry bar with solid hardware and a real element of surprise — from one side you’d never guess what’s hidden, until it spins to reveal its magnificent fittings. A great conversation piece that adds class to any interior. Please note there is no key.
