A striking Oriental style dining set in walnut, dating to 1920. The table top is finished with an exquisitely carved 5-inch broad border and a distinctive snake skin edging, a carved theme that carries through onto the Queen Anne style backs of the six carver chairs. A removable centre leaf extends the table to seat six and fixes in place with a screw, making it reassuringly sturdy when open. The table is in good used condition, with slight fading to the top colour from having been kept in the sun. The chairs have been upholstered in silk in a wide Regency stripe and are likewise in good condition.
