Description:

This table is made from French burr walnut, which has a beautiful grain, and it has been embellished with an exquisite marquetry decoration of garlands, ribbons, urns, and vases. It has been French polished to bring out the wonderful color and highlight the fabulous marquetry decoration.

The table has two leaves, which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion by a special winding mechanism. With both leaves removed, the table is transformed into a six-seat oval dining table. It is raised on four elegantly carved and inlaid legs that terminate in brass cap castors.

The set of ten burr walnut and inlaid chairs complements the table beautifully and comprises a pair of armchairs with eight side chairs. They are made from solid walnut with burr walnut marquetry decoration.

The chairs have beautifully upholstered drop-in  seats that can be removed so that the cane seats below can be used in warm weather.

This is a new, bespoke, handmade table and chair set.
