This six-piece vintage French Provincial suite has been refinished in a soft light blue and lifted with hand-applied gold detailing, turning a set of Louis XV–inspired shapes into something that reads as a coordinated, luxurious whole. The pieces earn their drama from their forms: the nightstands and dresser are bombé-fronted, swelling outward in the serpentine curve that defines the best French Provincial cabinetwork, while the armoire’s upper doors are set with decorative lattice panels and the headboard is crowned by a boldly carved, pierced scrolling crest. Every drawer and door front is edged in gold to pick out the carving. The set comprises a large dresser, its matching mirror, a tall armoire, a headboard and two bombé nightstands — enough to furnish the whole room in a single look. Solidly built and in very good vintage condition with only minor age-related wear, fully functional throughout. Circa 1960s–1970s.
